| Description | Aberdeen House is a prestigious, elegant building full of charm and character that was built in the 1880’s originally as a school. It stands in its own well-maintained grounds and the house is surrounded by well-tendered gardens to the front and side: a mixture of mature shrubs, lawns and flowerbeds are enclosed by a hedge for privacy.
The surroundings complement the licensed Rose Garden Gazebo which is an ideal setting for a spring/summer ceremony, which, when the roses are in full bloom provides a perfect background for your photographs.
The venue is located about half a mile from the main shopping precinct and harbor area, where there is a fine selection of restaurants and hotels.
Aberdeen House offers plenty of choice in hosting your perfect day. We have the Augustine Suite, which is beautifully decorated and in keeping with the period of the building. It can accommodate up to 40 guests. At weekends the beautiful Rose Garden Gazebo is available and can accommodate up to 40 guests for that perfect English garden ceremony. For smaller ceremonies the Pugin Room is ideal.
Please note: There will be an extra charge for legal preliminaries (notices to be given by both people), and for certificates and a rehearsal if they are required. Please speak to our ceremonies team regarding these charges.
