Space is an independent bar & kitchen in Folkestone. We serve delicious small plates of food 5 days a week accompanied by a wine list curated by Zeren Wilson, aka @bittenwritten
We opened the doors on 1st April 2011 to coincide with the 2nd Folkestone triennial, a unique, evolving collection of artworks.
We have recently been granted our wedding licence and offer a more relaxed independently minded experience than some of the more traditional wedding venues have to offer.
Having previously worked music and fashion, our founders swapped Camden for Folkestone in 2005 and have seen/been part of the evolution of the town in to one of the most sought after seaside destinations in the country; we have a wealth of local knowledge and a little black book full of creatives, photographers, florists, DJ’s and more which we can’t wait to share with you.
We also have a large outside area with a rain cover suitable for small to medium sized weddings of up to 60 people.
The old high street is at the heart of Folkestone’s creative quarter, where you’ll also find a host of artists, galleries, artisan retailers and craft makers. we’re 55 minutes from London St Pancras.
