Dave and Claire welcome you to The George at Newnham in Kent, We are very proud of our traditional family run Shepherd Neame country pub and being able to offer a wedding venue too in the beautiful countryside.
Dating back to 1540, The George originally started as a farm building and became a Brewhouse and coaching inn, in 1718.
Full of character from old oak beams, hops and inglenook fireplaces set in the historical village of Newnham, Kent. The Old Dining Room creates a romantic setting for your wedding ceremony for up to 50 people. The large garden with marquee is the perfect setting for a traditional country wedding with a maximum capacity of 100 evening reception guests. The Old Stable offers a unique area for a smaller ceremony of up to 30 guests. Through the archway you will find our private garden and patio surrounded by beautiful countryside. The marquee is perfect for your wedding breakfast and evening reception complete with ivory linings, chandeliers, and a dance floor to dance the night away!!
