Chapel House Estate now available for weddings

Once a private family home, Chapel House Estate in Thorne Hill, Thanet, is opening its gates, giving recently engaged couples the chance to view the new venue for their wedding.

The Estate blends seamlessly into the Kentish farmland, less than a mile from the picturesque Pegwell Bay in Ramsgate. The venue is located within 35 acres of organic and beautifully maintained landscape, providing a unique and natural backdrop for relaxing, entertaining and celebrating in the most private country settings.

Chapel House, a Grade II listed building, dating back to 1290, is the Estate's centrepiece and is perfect for the night after your wedding. Its interior, designed for luxury and comfort, effortlessly captures the inherent charm and character of the house and its stunning landscaped gardens. The house provides a large, beautifully styled honeymoon en-suite bathroom, a private veranda overlooking the gardens, and three individually appointed bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. A large, modern kitchen, garden room, reception and snug make this a home from home. In addition to the four bedrooms within Chapel House, the west paddock contains nine hideaway lodges, all featuring private bathrooms. The tenth lodge is the Beauty Lodge for getting ready on your wedding day.

Weddings for up to 120 guests will take place outside during British summertime in the Wild Apple Garden Orchard. The first of the two barns, the rustic Old Malt Granary, has been carefully and lovingly restored to seat up to 120 guests for your indoor ceremony and is perfect for winter weddings or during inclement weather. For the wedding breakfast and after-party, the second large banqueting barn, Thorne Barn, has been designed and built with couples' and their guests' every need in mind and includes a private 1920s style bar perfect for those pre-wedding pictures after arriving on-site in a vintage car or by helicopter.

Catering will celebrate the very best of what Kent has to offer, focusing on local suppliers and seasonal produce.

The reinstated north drive provides access to the Estate, entering via the private, gated entrance. With a car park for 70 cars, including multiple EV charging stations, cars can be left on-site overnight.
