On November 14, 2019, the Kent Wedding Awards welcomed more than 360 of the county’s finest wedding suppliers to The Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel to celebrate their success at the annual awards ceremony.
With the highest ever number of entries this year, plus new categories, judges were highly impressed by the variety available to Kent couples planning their weddings and commended the exacting standards of professionalism, brand strength and customer service offered.
The awards ceremony was filled with excited anticipation as KWA finalists from across the county waited to find out if they would receive the prestigious accolade of being judged the best of the best in their category.
The black-tie gala evening was hosted by comedian Tom Ward and guests celebrated by dancing into the small hours.
Events director Karin Allfree said: “It was once again a fantastic night and we would like to thank all those companies who support our awards every year and also welcome the many new companies that entered the Kent Wedding Awards for the first time.
“We were especially delighted at the success of our new categories this year, in particular Best Newcomer, for helping to shine a light on how this incredible industry continues to evolve and we are super proud of all who took the time to enter.
“We continue to be amazed at how much Kent couples appreciate and use our website hyperlinks to access all finalists and winners and we are delighted to be able to help them a reach such a brilliant collection of wedding professionals.”
“We would like to thank all our sponsors: The Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel, The Mercure Hotel Tunbridge Wells and Matt Rock Photography; our supporters: Kent County Council, The Creative Venue, Photobooth Hire Faces and Discologic, and our media partner, A Kentish Ceremony magazine.”
