The Kent Wedding Awards 2021/22 were held on November 18, 2021 and were shared with the Kent Wedding industry and couples of Kent, via a studio recorded virtual awards evening transmission. Unlike any previous Kent Wedding Awards celebration, these difficult times meant that invitees were unable to gather at The Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel for the usual gala evening but instead, the wonderful successes of this industry were broadcast online with the help of the awards host, television comedian Shaun Williamson.
The judges were highly impressed by the exacting standards of professionalism and customer service available from the Kent Wedding industry and commended the hard work and business skills of all applicants on their fantastic presentations and client testimonials.
Events director Karin Allfree said: “After such uncertain times, it is truly wonderful to know that the Kent wedding industry is back and thriving! Love was not cancelled, it was simply postponed and now, couples are back to planning their most important day with our wonderful Kent wedding industry right at the heart of all this.
"We were also blown away with the number of Couples' Choice votes, which really gave the Kent Wedding Awards team a perspective on how hard the Kent wedding industry has been working behind the scenes for their couples. The Kent Wedding Awards will be back in its full glittering glory on 17th November 2022 and we thank the wedding industry for their brilliant support this year and congratulate all our wonderful winners.”
"We would also like to thank all our sponsors: The Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel, The Hythe Imperial Hotel, The Mercure Hotel Tunbridge Wells, The Plough at Leigh and KC Weddings and Events, and also thank our official media partner, A Kentish Ceremony magazine and our supporters, the Kent County Council."
