Thorne Barn, every space has been created to tell your story, your way. Here, the pace slows. The air feels lighter, and every detail is carefully, intuitively
taken care of.
Ceremony Spaces -
The Wild Apple Orchard
Setting the scene for a truly relaxed, romantic moment, our estate gardener has transformed the Wild Apple Orchard into a beautiful meadow, allowing the lawn to flourish naturally, to create a serene space for exchanging vows, amongst the wildlife, in front of up to 150 seated guests.
The Old Malt Granary
Nestled in the private estate, the beautifully restored Old Malt Granary is home to our indoor weddings, civil ceremonies, blessings and renewal of vows.
With high ceilings, exposed beams, original brickwork and large windows that flood the space with natural light, the Granary comfortably seats up to 150 people.
The Chapel House (1290)
Rich in history and lovingly restored, our namesake Chapel House provides an enchanting setting for elopements and micro-weddings steeped in atmosphere for up to 15 people.
Reception Spaces -
Thorne Barn
Celebrate in the charming Thorne Barn, home to our larger celebrations, with space for up to 150 daytime guests and 200 evening guests. A fabulous 1920s-inspired cocktail bar, outdoor terrace and plenty of room to party the night away.
The Glass Courtyard
For more intimate gatherings, the Glass Courtyard and adjoining Lounge Bar offer a relaxed yet refined setting for private dining, celebrations and post-wedding breakfasts. Light-filled by day and softly atmospheric by night, the space comfortably hosts up to 60 guests during the day, or up to 100 for evening celebrations.
A Feast to Remember
Putting great food at the heart of your celebration.
Led by our Head Chef, we create menus that showcase the very best of Kent’s Garden of England, using estate-grown produce alongside ingredients from trusted local suppliers who share our values.
Stay the Night
Extend the celebration with exclusive-use accommodation for up to 38 guests.
Chapel House sits at the heart of the estate, nestled between the Wild Apple Orchard and the Old Malt Granary. Sleeping up to ten guests across four double bedrooms and a charming bunk room, it offers a truly characterful stay.
Dating back to 1290, this Grade II-listed flint and stone chapel has been beautifully
reimagined as a contemporary luxury residence. Upstairs, the elegant honeymoon suite features a freestanding copper bath with uninterrupted views across the terrace and gardens.
Nine Hideaway Lodges
Our nine contemporary pine lodges are open-plan with floor-to-ceiling sliding doors that open onto the west paddock. They offer a compact yet luxurious place to relax, complemented by magnificent, far-reaching views of nature.
Cottages
We offer two charming cottages nestled just outside the estate. Both are ideal for small groups to relax and unwind before or after a day of celebrations.
Thorne Cottage sleeps up to four guests and offers a cosy, comfortable retreat just moments from the estate.
Chapel Cottage sleeps up to six guests and provides a relaxed, home-from-home space for families or small groups to unwind.
Whether you’re planning a grand celebration or an intimate escape, we’ll help you craft a wedding that feels personal, effortless, and truly unforgettable.
There’s only one way to feel the magic: you need to come and experience it for yourself.
