Nestled in the heart of the Kent countryside beside the Swale estuary and just 60 minutes from London, The Ferry House offers a breathtaking setting for your country wedding. Surrounded by nature reserves and rolling farmland, this enchanting 16th-century venue boasts panoramic waterside views and an unrivalled atmosphere for your big day.
From April 2026, The Ferry House will become an exclusive wedding and events venue with the launch of our brand-new Spring Barn, a stunning space featuring a rare oak 'Hammerbeam' frame and cathedral-like ceiling details. With unobstructed views over the estuary, the Spring Barn offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern elegance, making it an ideal backdrop for your ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception.
In preparation for this exciting new chapter, The Ferry House will be open for weddings until October 2025. Following this, our diary will close until April 2026 as we complete the renovations. Once reopened, couples will have exclusive access to the venue, which will include luxury new features like an in-room bar and lounge areas in the Spring Barn, a romantically-lit courtyard, and even a private pub.

For those seeking an extended experience, our multiday wedding packages include night-before celebrations at The Ferry House or nearby Mocketts Farm Cottages, along with a full day of wedding festivities at The Ferry House.
Start your day in style with access to our beautiful Coach Lounge or Garden Lodge, nestled in the tranquil Kitchen Garden. The Garden Lodge offers a serene environment with cosy seating areas, three makeup stations, a dedicated dressing space, and plenty of picture-perfect spots for capturing your special moments.
Exchange your vows with up to 200 guests under the Oak Gazebo, overlooking the Swale estuary, surrounded by the beauty of nature. Alternatively tie the knot in the fairy-lit Hop Barn, decorated with hops and featuring French doors that lead to a beautiful terrace. From April 2026, you will also be able to say 'I do' in the new Spring Barn with up to 200 guests.
Host your wedding breakfast in the Hop Barn for up to 70 guests or in our adjoining Event Suite for up to 180 guests (available until October 2025). From April 2026, choose the Spring Barn to host your meal for up to 200 guests, flooded with natural light and offering stunning waterside views. Whichever space you choose, you'll enjoy our exceptional menus, featuring fresh produce from our Kitchen Garden, beef from our family farm, and game from the Harty estate.
Our full day packages also include a complimentary night in your choice of honeymoon suite, with ten additional rooms available for your guests to book. Our nearby Mocketts Farm Cottages can host up to 53 guests, providing the perfect opportunity for an extended celebration over multiple days.
Our tranquil treatment rooms offer pre and post-wedding pampering, featuring luxurious facials and massages tailored for you. Our Prescriptive Eve Taylor Facial package, exclusively for our couples, ensures you feel your best as you walk down the aisle.
